The Rotary Club of Derby South held their Charter Dinner in a superb marquee at Derbyshire County Cricket Club.
It was quite a way from the car park but a buggy had been organised to take us to the marquee. There were only six of us on the buggy - in India it would have been treble!
We had a good meal and the speaker was the Bishop of Nottingham who was very witty and kept us amused with his anecdotes. President Anna Zimand presented me with a haggis for Burns Night as she had flown down for the event from Scotland.
It gave me great pleasure to present a Paul Harris Fellowship to Rotarian Keith Fletcher, a stalwart of the Rotary Club of Derby South.
Congratulations again Keith!
